We are delighted to welcome Aria Shiyi Zhang to TGT Legal

Aria began her tertiary education at Peking University before transferring back to New Zealand and completing her honours degree with the University of Auckland. While living in Bejing, Aria interned for the red circle law firm Zhong Lun in its Antitrust/Competition and Cross-border Investment/M&A practices. She is now joining us after two years in Chapman Tripp’s tax and private client team.

As a solicitor, Aria has experience across a diverse range of matters, having worked on asset and succession planning, trusts and estates, relationship property, structuring and governance of charities and immigration of high net worth individuals, as well as assisting clients on various aspects of taxation, such as debt and equity structuring, banking and finance, property and GST, iwi corporate governance and anti-avoidance disputes.

Aria enjoys working closely with clients to navigate complex legal issues with their best interests in mind. She will specialise further in private client work at TGT and we look forward to supporting her to thrive in her new role.
