Juliet Moses, alongside many other experts in trust and succession law, recently spoke at the STEP NZ Conference 2023

Among other matters, she promoted the competition of ideas, public dialogue and advocacy as a desirable, even essential part of the charitable landscape, which plays a crucial role in a healthy liberal democracy, challenging laws and government policies, advancing social and legal reform, and engaging with and being the voice of grassroots communities. She posited that New Zealand courts should take a consistent, liberalising approach to charities that engage in advocacy, more in line with the Australian jurisdiction.

We congratulate STEP NZ and all the speakers in attendance for co-ordinating and contributing to an excellent and thoughtful conference.
